Scaffolding and formworks

In the construction industry, high demands are made of the functionality and the safety of scaffolding material, and of the durability of the building products used.

Diffusion galvanising provides a uniform, uneven coating, even on products with complicated shapes. The high impact and wear resistance means sherardized products can be used for longer, despite repeated assembly and dismantling.

Sherardised scaffolding couplings and tubelocks more than meet the requirements of NEN EN 74. Diffusion galvanised scaffolding products are therefore safe to use.

Besides their resistance to corrosion, the unevenness of the sherardised surface is important in the case of fixing materials used for the timber-frame construction, such as nails, screws and coach screws. Sherardising can substantially increase the strength of the connections.
