ISO 12944

ISO 12944 specifies guidelines for the corrosion protection of steel structures using coating systems in order to extend the service life of steel structures and reduce maintenance costs.
It deals with the selection, design, application, and maintenance of paint systems for different environments (corrosivity categories C1-CX) and protection durations (low, medium, high).
Sherardizing is specifically mentioned in Parts 1, 4, 5, and 8.
